PalliativeCare gets involved in a patient’s cancer journey for 1 of 2 reasons:
1. Tough symptoms, or
2. Tough decisions
Palliative care doesn’t always mean “end of life care.” If a patient has difficult symptoms such as nausea or pain, or if there is a difficult decision to be made about what treatment is most helpful for the patient, our West network offers palliative care to address these barriers to ease the cancer journey and promote quality of life.
Dr. Clay Jackson joins Sydney Neely on ABC24 Memphis’ “The Shortcut” to talk about the important role palliative care plays in a patient’s cancer journey, and why our West Cancer Center network offers this multidisciplinary approach to care!
