Erich Mounce used three simple numbers today to introduce the crowd in a tent erected outside the West Cancer Center in Germantown to the purpose of the new $60.5 million facility.
The number of cancer patients anticipated to walk through the doors in the next 12 months: 35,234. The number expected to be treated with chemotherapy: 10,022. The number receiving radiation treatments: 18,200.
“This is why we stand here today,” said Mounce, chief executive officer of the West Cancer Center. “The numbers are staggering.”
