Hypopharyngeal Cancers
These cancers are located in the lower part of the throat (pharynx) and the entrance to the esophagus.
Laryngeal Cancers
These cancers are located above the opening of the windpipe (trachea) and include the supraglottis, glottis, and subglottis.
Nasopharyngeal Cancers
These cancers start in the upper part of the throat behind the nasal cavity and soft palate.
Oral / Lip Cancers
These cancers can originate from any area of the mouth, with tongue cancer being the most common of all mouth cancers or external lip area.
Oropharyngeal Cancers
These cancers involve the base of the tongue and may be referred to as throat cancer.
Paranasal Cancers
These cancers can grow inside the sinus cavities and area behind the nose.
Salivary Cancers
These cancers are on each side of the face with major glands being parotid, submadibular, and sublingual.
Sweat Gland Carcinomas
These are rare forms of skin cancer that originate in the eccrine or apocrine sweat glands. When it occurs int he head and neck region, it often presents a slow growing but potentially aggressive tumor. Subtypes include eccrine carcinoma and endocrine mucin-producing sweat gland carcinoma.
