Endocrine cancer is a tumor that affects parts of the body that secrete hormones, which are chemicals that regulate the activity of other organs or cells in the body. These chemicals impact important bodily functions including metabolism, mood, sexual function, growth, development, and reproduction. Many kinds of endocrine cancers are rare, but thyroid cancer is a type of endocrine cancer and is the seventh most common diagnosis in women and tenth for men in the United States. Other types of endocrine cancers include the adrenal glands, parathyroid glands, pituitary glands, hypothalamus, and pancreas.

Our West providers work closely with endocrine specialists in the community to partner for your care. Each patient’s disease is unique and so is our plan for you.
