About Me
Dr. Caroline Lippe is a fellowship-trained breast surgical oncologist who completed her Breast Surgical Oncology Fellowship at Bryn Mawr Hospital in 2025. She previously completed a General Surgery Residency at UPMC Community Osteopathic and earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM), where she was inducted into the Sigma Sigma Phi Honors Society and received the Silver TOUCH community service award in both 2015 and 2016.
Dr. Lippe also holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Ursinus College, where she graduated magna cum laude and was recognized with multiple honors including Phi Beta Kappa, Whitians Honor Society, and Beta Beta Beta Biological Honor Society.
Her research contributions span multiple peer-reviewed publications and national presentations, including work on benign breast disease, lymphedema screening, and financial de-escalation in breast cancer care. She has presented at prestigious conferences such as the American Society of Breast Surgeons, the Miami Breast Cancer Conference, and the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons. Her work has been featured in journals and textbooks such as The Breast and Journal Case Reports.
Dr. Lippe is deeply committed to community service and global health, having volunteered in Vietnam with International Volunteers HQ and participated in numerous outreach programs including Hope Lodge, Philabundance, and Give Kids Sight Day. She has held leadership roles throughout her academic career, including serving as Secretary of the DO Council and Co-President of the Whitians Women’s Honor Society.
Her clinical interests include breast cancer surgery, benign breast disease, genetics, and patient-centered care. Dr. Lippe brings a compassionate, research-informed approach to her practice and is dedicated to advancing breast health through both clinical excellence and community engagement.
