About Me

Dr. Alyssa K. Pittman is a dedicated breast surgical oncologist who completed her fellowship at the West Cancer Center in Germantown, Tennessee. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from the Medical College of Georgia, graduating with honors as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha society, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology, magna cum laude, from the University of Georgia.

Dr. Pittman completed her General Surgery Residency at Prisma Health in Greenville, South Carolina, where she served as Chief Administrative Resident and held multiple leadership roles including Education Chair, House Staff Senator, and Admissions Committee Interviewer. Her commitment to wellness and education was evident through her active participation in the residency’s Wellness Committee.

She has received numerous accolades, including the Best Oral Presentation at the 29th Annual JD Ashmore Lectureship and the Woo Memorial Scholarship for academic excellence. Dr. Pittman is certified in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS).

Her research contributions span a range of surgical and diagnostic topics in a number of publications and presentations. She is a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons, and the Southeastern Surgical Congress.

Dr. Pittman brings a strong foundation in clinical excellence, academic rigor, and compassionate care to her role at West Cancer Center, where she is committed to advancing breast cancer treatment and patient outcomes.
