Syed Sameer Nasir, MD

West Cancer Center & Research Institute is pleased to welcome Syed Sameer Nasir, MD back to the West family!

Dr. Nasir is a board-certified medical oncologist who previously spent seven years with West, caring for patients in the Corinth, Mississippi community, before relocating to be closer to family. He has returned to West and began seeing patients on October 12^th at both our Wolf River and Corinth locations.

Dr. Nasir’s connection to West began during his Hematology/Oncology Fellowship at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and West Cancer Center, where he also served as Chief Fellow. He previously completed his Internal Medicine residency and served as Chief Resident at UTHSC. His career also includes extensive clinical research experience, peer-reviewed publications, and service as both a principal investigator and co-investigator on numerous cancer clinical trials.

We are excited to welcome Dr. Nasir home and look forward to having his experience, dedication, and commitment to compassionate cancer care back at West.
