Stephen Besh, MD

About Me:

Dr. Stephen Besh has a distinguished history with West Cancer Center, having originally joined the organization in 2005 following two years as an Emergency Room physician at Regional One Health. Prior to that, he played a foundational role in establishing Christ Community Health Services. Dr. Besh earned his fellowship in Hematology and Medical Oncology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2004, after completing his Internal Medicine residency at the same institution. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Zoology and a Medical Degree from Louisiana State University. Following a brief tenure at The Jones Clinic, Dr. Besh began his practice at West Cancer Center, where he remained until 2022 when he accepted an academic appointment at the Memphis VA Medical Center. In May 2025, he returned to West Cancer Center, where he now serves patients at the Corinth, Mississippi campus.
