Mr. Gorman came to our West family 9 years ago after finding a 2 inch tumor on his tonsil. Since then, Mr. Gorman has become a great friend to Dr. Tauer, Dr. Farmer, and our entire care team.

In the video below, he discusses details of his cancer battle in an effort to share testimony and advice. From Stage II Throat Cancer to later fighting Kidney Cancer, Mr. Gorman has gone head-to-head with this disease. Through these challenges, Mr. Gorman continues to stay strong, keeping his faith and family in focus.

He shares, “What I think you have to do is look at this stuff as a test, and tests aren’t meant to knock you down – they’re really meant to build you up.”

He also talks about the importance of his relationships with his doctors, nurses, and other staff members here at West. Mr. Gorman stresses to do what your care team recommends, and to work in partnership with them through this journey.

Mr. Gorman continues to be an example of strength and humility. We are so grateful to know him and fight cancer right by his side.
