Leonard “Jeff” Harris Jr., MD, MS

About Me

I am a board certified hematologist / medical oncologist at the West Cancer Center & Research Institute in Germantown, TN with a focus in disorders of the blood and bone marrow. I earned my M.D. at the Medical College of Georgia in 2005 and  completed a combined residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and served as Internal Medicine Chief Resident. I also completed a Master of Science in Epidemiology and published with the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center (UTHSC) Center for Health System Improvement. 

Recently I completed a Hematology and Oncology fellowship at UTHSC and received one year of dedicated training in hematopoietic stem cell transplant and cellular therapies including clinical rotations at St Jude Children’s Research Hospital and MD Anderson Cancer Center. I  lead clinical studies as Principle and Sub-Investigator related to hematologic malignancies.
