About Me
Dr. Alyssa K. Pittman is a dedicated breast surgical oncologist currently completing her fellowship at the West Cancer Center in Germantown, Tennessee. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from the Medical College of Georgia, graduating with a perfect 4.0 GPA, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology, magna cum laude, from the University of Georgia.
Dr. Pittman completed her General Surgery Residency at Prisma Health in Greenville, South Carolina, where she served as Chief Administrative Resident and held multiple leadership roles including Education Chair, House Staff Senator, and Admissions Committee Interviewer. Her commitment to wellness and education was evident through her active participation in the residency’s Wellness Committee.
She has received numerous accolades, including the Best Oral Presentation at the 29th Annual JD Ashmore Lectureship and the Woo Memorial Scholarship for academic excellence. Dr. Pittman is certified in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS).
Her research contributions span a range of surgical and diagnostic topics, with publications in The American Surgeon and Am Surg, and presentations at national conferences such as the Southeastern Surgical Congress and the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine. She is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha, the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons, and the Southeastern Surgical Congress.
Dr. Pittman brings a strong foundation in clinical excellence, academic rigor, and compassionate care to her role at West Cancer Center, where she is committed to advancing breast cancer treatment and patient outcomes.
