Art Therapy is an integrative mental health & human services profession that enriches the lives of individuals, families and communities through active art making, creative process, applied psychological theory, and human experience with a psychotherapeutic relationship. Art therapy can help improve quality of life by helping West Cancer Center patients and families feel a sense of control, relax and learn new self-care practices, discover strengths, cope with illness and change, and express thoughts and feelings in a safe, soothing setting.
