Tricia graduated from the University of Arkansas in 2004 with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders, and in 2006 she obtained a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Vanderbilt University.  During her time at Vanderbilt, she received specialized training in swallowing and voice disorders.  As part of her Master’s degree program, she was an extern at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, NY, where she further developed these skills with cancer patients.  She was awarded the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association in 2007 and is a member of the Dysphagia Research Society.  Her primary area of expertise is in management of voice and swallowing disorders in patients with head and neck cancer.  She is a frequent presenter and guest lecturer on this topic and is a clinical instructor for graduate students. Tricia is passionate about advocacy and awareness for cancer patients and has served on the West Fight On: Cycle, Run, Walk committee for the past 3 years.  She also enjoys assisting with the Midsouth Laryngectomee Club. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons, traveling, reading, and playing tennis.
